The Drums at New York City Popfest

It has been over a week since The Drums performed live for the first time at New York City Popfest and I have been listening to them on repeat ever since. Their performance was by far the highlight of Popfest, a credit to the amazing stage presence of frontman Jonathan Pierce coupled with the charm of their backup singers. I only wish they could have played a longer set.

Their Summertime! EP comes out this June. Until then, of course:

Just as summer 2007 belonged to The Tough Alliance, summer 2009 will belong to The Drums. Catch their first performance next Sunday, May 17, at NYC Popfest.
